Chiral Intermediates
The market of chiral inetmediates and chiral drugs is expected to be grow up gradually (1).
One of the business portfolio of C-TRI is to produce and market various types of chiral intermediates; Chiral diamines(2), chiral epichlorohydrine derivatives, amino acids, etc.

C-TRI has sold high quality chiral intermediates to fine chemical and pharmaceutical companies. By means of immobilizing chiral ligands introduced our novel platform technology, ChuroCil™, a series of chiral intermediates have been produced in pilot plant scale or commercial batch scale according to demands of consumers. ChuroCil™ is a biphasic reactor system managing in room temperature ionic liquids as air-stable immobilization phase. 35 chiral intermediates products can be served as a customer manufacturing bases for the present. Those products are derived from chiral epoxides and chiral glycidyl esters, which can be obtained from hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) of racemic epichlohydrins by Co-salen complex.
The immobilization of chiral metal complexes in ionic liquids has only recently been reported for some enantioselective hydrogenations and for the epoxidation of alkenes. By our unique immobilization platform, we are under developing a big variaty of asymmetric reaction systems such as hydrogenation, aldol reaction, kinetic resolution, conjugated addition of a,ß-unsaturated esters of ketones, Diels-Alder reactions, and so on.
C-TRI have been worked to develop new chiral lignads with Prof. Oliver Reiser of Department of Chemisty and Pharmacy of University Regensburg in Germany, who is expert in chiral synthesis chemisty.
