Generika sind Arzneimittel, die nach Ablauf des Patentschutzes des
Originalpräparats mit gleichem Wirkstoff und gleicher Konzentration.
Die Produkte werden unter neuem Namen zu einem deutlich niedrigeren
Preis verkauft, bei gleicher Qualität und mit einer bewährten
Wirkkombination, da R&D-Kosten nahezu entfallen.
Generika müssen, um in Deutschland als Medikament vermarktet
werden zu können, die gleichen Qualitätsvoarussetzungen
erfüllen wie das Original.

| Lansprazole
Lansoprazole, as a "Proton pump inhibitor" drug that
blocks production of stomach acid, could be obtained by the most
effective monooxidation technology of racemic sulfoxdide. Lansoprazole
is utilized to treat diseases in which stomach acid causes damage,
including stomach and duodenal ulcers, erosive esophagitis, intestinal
ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
C-TRI also have tried a racemic switch of lansoprazole, as omeprazole
had successfully switched to a chiral (S)-omeprazole. Lansoprazole
has been sold by Tap Pharmaceutical Products , PrevacidTM, 2.95
billion US$ in 2001. The original patent will be expired in 2005.

| Paroxetine
(-)-paroxetine·HCl, a antidepressant targeting for SSRI,
has been developed by way of unique asymmetric hydrogenation reactions.
By adapting our own hydrogenation catalyst and ligand system,
high pure chiral intermediate could be obtained. Paroxetine has
been sold by GSK, PaxilTM, 2.67 billion US$ in 2001. The GSK's
original patent will be expired in 2006.
Proxetine HCl is an orally administered antidepressant with a
chemical structure unrelated to other selective serotonin reuptake
inhibitors or to tricyclic, tetracyclic or other available antidepressant

| Terbinafine
Terbinafine·HCl is used as a raw material of second anti-infectious
agent against water eczema. Terbinafine·HCl has been sold
by Norvatis, LamisilTM, 756 million US$ in 2000. The Novartis's
patent will be expired in 2003 |

| Chlarithromycin
To date, lots of results have been reported that Helicobacter pylori
bacteria is closely related to series of gastritis, duodenal ulcer
and incurable anemia etc. Chlarithromycin is very effective to exterminate
and prevent recurrence of Helicobacter pyrori bacteria in introducing
coktail dosages with omeprazole and lansoprazole. Chlarithromycin,
antiinfeftive agent, has successfully been synthesized from erythromycin
by using unique C-TRI's methodology. During the design of new process,
we could make a unique protecting group of ketone and by using it
clarithormycin of form II could be produced without giving intermediate
of from I, which is necessary to pass through at all the developed
processes. Clarithromycin has been old by Abott Laboratories, BiaxinTM,
1.1 bilion US$ in 2001. The original patent will be expired in 2005.
